Lucy & Andy’s Manor House Hotel wedding took place in the summer of 2021 – after all Covid restrictions had been lifted. I arrived in Moreton-in-Marsh when the girls were having their hair & makeup done next door in the hair salon Alchemy.
The girls all moved next door to finish getting ready so their Manor House Hotel wedding could get started!
The boys were busy greeting guests to the lovely outdoor ceremony area in the garden.
Chiqas played beautifully during the ceremony, while Lucy’s bridesmaids, and then Lucy & her dad walked in to the garden towards Andy.
And so the ceremony began
The sky looked pretty ominous for a while, but the weather behaved itself while Lucy, Andy and their guests had a drinks reception outside.
I love the secret garden round the corned at The Manor House Hotel, it’s the perfect place for some photos of the Bride & Groom on their own.
It was then time for their wedding breakfast, followed by speeches. Lucy’s Dad started them off, followed by the groom Andy and his Best Man.
Lucy & Andy had an amazing tower of doughnuts to ‘cut’ instead of a traditional wedding cake!
Their first dance in front of all their guests rounded of the perfect day!
Lauren & Marco, like many couples in 2020, postponed their wedding at the Manor House Hotel twice due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. This Moreton-in-Marsh wedding was their third date. What a beautifully sunny day they ended up with! Luckily they had always been planning a small intimate wedding, which fitted well with the restriction of 30 guests at that time.
The amazing team at the Manor House Hotel prepared the outdoor ceremony area for this Moreton-in-Marsh wedding. Lauren and her family had their hair & makeup done upstairs in the hotel by Alice Taper https://www.alicetapermakeupartist.com/
Their beautiful little dog was there to supervise!
Jennifer & Lee’s wedding at The Manor House Hotel in Moreton-in-Marsh at the beginning of July sometimes felt like we were in a tropical country somewhere, not in England! The weather was so amazing, and the thatched roof Breeze House for outdoor ceremonies at the Manor House Hotel gives the hotel gardens a real tropical feel!
Jennifer and the girls were getting ready in Apple Cottage, part of the hotel, but away from the main building
Makeup was done by the lovely Natasha-Louise, who was almost due to have a baby (which has now safely arrived into this world!), so amazing she was still working on a very hot July day!
The groom, Lee, and the boys arrived at The Manor House Hotel looking very smart in their blue suits from Slaters. Flowers were by Lisa Drinkwater & Erica Chapman – one of their guests – love the sunflowers!
I had the pleasure of working alongside Zara from Zara’s Films who was doing the videography for the day.
After a bit more touching up, and an emotional first look from Dad, Jennifer was ready to go outside in to the sunshine to marry Lee!
The Manor House Hotel has a lovely secret garden around the corner which is perfect for shots of the bride & groom
And so we could have a proper look at Jennifer’s stunning dress from The Cotswold Frock Shop
The sunflower theme was very effective in the wedding breakfast room. The chair sashes were from All About Fun UK.
Jennifer styled the room sourcing all the beautiful details herself, like the seeds from Wedding in a Teacup, and the stationary from Poppy Forest
There were some very emotional speeches
And then everyone could relax outside in the beautiful evening sunshine
We had a chance later on to do some more photos as the sun was going down in the secret garden. You’ve got to get a shot in the deckchairs at The Manor House Hotel!
It was then time for the cake cutting and first dance. The amazing cake with so many interesting flavours was from Cacao Bean in Moreton-in-Marsh.
As we start 2019, I’ve done a roundup of my Cotswold Wedding Photography in 2018 and here is a very small selection of all the wonderful weddings I was privileged to photograph last year.
We had some quite extreme weather thrown at us, with The Beast from the East (which kept coming back) in the Spring, and the hottest summer on record turning green grass yellow.
I was back at lots of my favourite local venues and also at some fabulous new ones, and after photographing over 40 weddings I am now enjoying a quieter January & February before the fun starts again!
Some of my most local venues are Blackwell Grange in Shipston on Stour, and the amazing Hyde House in Stow-on-the-Wold. One of my favourite churches to photograph is St. James Church in Chipping Campden. I love The Manor House Hotel in Moreton-in-Marsh, Charingworth Manor, and was excited to photograph my first wedding at the fabulous new venue Lapstone Barn also in Chipping Campden.
The Manor House Hotel in Moreton-in-Marsh is one of my favourite venues here in the Cotswolds, and just down the road for me, so I was thrilled when Simeon & Katie asked me to photograph their lovely wedding there in the summer. The weather was just gorgeous so they were able to have their ceremony outdoors under the hut, which makes you feel as if you’re in the Bahamas not Gloucestershire! The light was so beautiful later on so I got some lovely photos of the stunning couple in the secret garden.
Doctors David & Susie had a beautiful summer’s day for their wedding at the beautiful St. James’ Church in Chipping Campden, followed by The Manor House Hotel in Moreton-in-Marsh. They had a wonderful gramophone playing vintage jazz all afternoon, and there was certainly a doctor in the house – lots of them! The table decorations had syringes for wedding favours which I hadn’t seen before and the cake topper was so cute! A perfect summer wedding for a really lovely couple.
I photographed a very special wedding at one of my favourite venues The Manor House Hotel in Moreton-in-Marsh – just down the hill from me, just before Christmas. I love Christmas weddings, well, I just love Christmas full stop so a Christmas wedding is a real pleasure to photograph. Greg & Erica are such a lovely couple who I got on really well with, and they had a wonderful day – the weather was fine enough to go outside for some shots, as well as some cosy shots by the tree.
Louise & Clark had a beautiful autumn day for their wedding at The Manor House Hotel in Moreton-in-Marsh – just down the road from me and one of my favourite wedding venues to photograph. The ceremony was held there and we went out to Batsford with their wedding car to take some pictures in a gorgeous avenue of autumn trees. Considering the awful weather we had in 2012, they were so lucky to have such a lovely day!
