Kathryn & Mike had their wedding at the amazing Gloucester Cathedral – it was just like the Royal Wedding! It’s a stunning place -if you haven’t been you really should go & have a look. So it was a great privilege to be asked to photograph their wedding. The boys got ready in their campervan & Kathryn arrived in their beloved Alvis, a gorgeous old family car. The beautiful service was taken by Kathryn’s mother, and refreshments were served afterwards in the cloisters. The reception was held at the Cheltenham Chase Hotel, where after the wedding breakfast, everybody got up to do a spot of barn dancing. I hope Kathryn & Mike are having a great time on their honeymoon in Kenya.
Adam & Anna were married at Kingscote Barn near Tetbury in the Cotswolds. Set in the beautiful countryside, it really is a lovely venue. It TIPPED down with rain while everyone was getting ready, and we had umbrellas ready for the walk to the ceremony, but at 2pm on the dot the rain stoppped! The ceremony was emotional, but luckily the flower girl gave us all a laugh as she dragged her mum’s big handbag up the aisle, very funny! Adam’s dad showed off his amazing talent as a blues guitar player in the evening. Lovely day, lovely couple.
Well it was a popular day for weddings: 10/10/10, and the weather certainly didn’t disappoint, we had a proper heatwave in the middle of October! Glorious! Another beautiful wedding at Charingworth Manor. I arrived to be told I was needed in the swimming pool where all the boys wanted some pictures taken in there – that was a first for me, and quite tricky with my glasses and the camera lenses all steaming up! Got some great shots though, and of the girls getting ready (not in the swimming pool). The ceremony was emotional, everyone was crying, including me & the registrars! It was a lovely day, with lovely people.
Matt & Gemma were married in St. James’ church, Chipping Campden, which was full of flowers, fruit & vegetables as it was the day before harvest festival – it looked wonderful! A lovely vintage car took them after the ceremony to Charingworth Manor (just around the corner from me) for the reception. It has amazing views over the Cotswolds countryside and is a really lovely venue – great for photos in the grounds!
Chris & Sarah were married in the beautiful church at Bretforton, a very pretty village in the Cotswolds. The vicar was great and delivered a lovely fun ceremony. Sarah’s brother was chauffeur and took the couple to the reception at the Manor House Hotel, Moreton-in-Marsh – it was a sunny September day. After dinner & some great speeches, Chris & Sarah kicked off the evening with a very well executed Strictly-style first dance – very impressed!
